The fact that you are HERE means that you have felt a pull on your heart for what God is doing in the earth. You may not be called to be an Anna, i.e. to forsake all and committ to a life of fasting and prayer. But you CAN have an active part in supporting the prayer movement in the earth.

I am committed to living a life of simplicity before the Lord. As prayer and intercession is my full-time occupation, I rely on funding from partners for my housing, food, bills, clothes, medical care, and necessities of life. But when you donate financially, you are doing much more than keeping food on the table and the lights on for a prayer missionary – you are sowing into something far greater than either one of us understands!

Being fully funded allows me to give 100% of my time and energy to the prayer movement and to walk out the calling God has on my life with excellence and humility.

I receive my support through people just like you making a commitment to partner with me and what the Lord is doing in the earth. I cannot continue to do what I do without monthly financial support. By giving financially to my ministry, you enable me to aggressively serve the prayer movement.

1) Why doesn’t IHOP-KC pay you to be on staff? Are contributions to individual missionaries really a tested and proven way to fund missions?

The largest missions organization in the world that pays its staff a salary is Focus on the Family, with 1,200 staff members. However, between Youth with a Mission (YWAM) and Campus Crusade for Christ, over 50,000 individuals successfully raise missionary support. There are thousands more in other similar organizations. Individual missionary support is most certainly a proven way to support missionaries.

2) If I make a donation through IHOP, where does it go?

100% of the donation comes to me. There are no administrative costs or deductions taken by the Missions Base. Feel free to contribute directly to me as a gift (this of course is preferred) – it’s guaranteed that I receive the full amount!

3) How much should I support you?

I invite all of my supporters to give in a way that excites and connects their heart. I am also confident in the Lord as my provider – He knows what I need and will speak to you accordingly.

4) How often should I support you?

Monthly, quarterly, annually, or occasionally.

5) Are my donations tax-deductible?

Yes. All donations given through IHOP are tax-deductible. The finance office will keep track of your donations as charitable contributions and you will receive a donation statement at the end of the year for tax purposes. Your donations are NOT tax-deductible if you donate via Paypal or write a check to me directly, but I will receive 100% of your gift without having to pay any taxes on it (because it is a gift). I of course would prefer the gift method (check written to “Jaye Thomas”) if you don’t care about a tax deduction, but please feel free to donate via any method you wish. If you prefer to send your support through IHOP, make you checks payable TO IHOP and DO NOT INCLUDE MY NAME ANYWHERE ON THE CHECK.
